Dear Fish Enthusiast
My name is Ron Mahon and I?ve been fascinated by freshwater fish for over 40 years. Over that time, I gained a huge amount of knowledge about freshwater fish. Not counting the gold fish days (Perhaps you share the same childhood mystery of the disappearing goldfish?hint blame you mother)

Luck placed me at the beginning days of Cable TV when people had at most three channels. Looking to the future, we build systems that had 12-channel capacity. With absolutely no idea what to do with the empty channels.

Mostly we tried to fill them up with automated services, time, weather, background music etc. My understanding of Aquariums begun at this time. We had a automate machine that displayed time, temperature, humidity etc. ?one day it broke.

In a panic, I brought my Fish aquarium form home and set it in front of the camera. This was supposed to be a stopgap measure until we could get the parts to repair the weather instruments.

Then funny things happen?after a few weeks we returned the weather channel. All most immediately people started to call wanting to know ?What happened to the Fish? I thought it was crazy, even so the ?Fish channel? became our second non-broadcast channel.

As I told other Cable friend?s of my experience, they to decided to try it too. I not shore I was the fist one...but soon there were hundreds of "Fish Channels.? I install the fish channel on every system I owned or have any influence on.

The benefits that cable subscribers told me about has made me a dedicated  enthusiast ever since, it is my goal to see that  everyone has the knowledge to set up a beautiful Freshwater Aquarium that will be envy of all their friends.

Now thought I am an expert, but a funny thing happened. When I tried to create this Ecourse, there was conflicting Opinions on some aspects, specific knowledge about new technicks?Luckily, I found an old friend, who was an expert on the parts that where I was weak.
